Extending ShipCEMS Compact capabilities
The Sample Stream Multiplexer is designed as an ancillary unit to the ShipCEMS Compact continuous emission monitoring system. By connecting up to four sample streams and allowing several multiplexers to be connected in series – the SSM significantly extends the monitoring capacity of ShipCEMS Compact, providing shipowners with greater flexibility and efficiency.
Built for marine conditions
The system has been tested to withstand the demanding conditions at sea, meeting DNV requirements for temperature, humidity, vibration, EMC, and enclosure protection (IP44). It operates via Modbus communication with ShipCEMS Compact and runs on a 110/230V, 2-phase, 50/60 Hz power supply.

Norsk Analyse’s Sample Stream Multiplexer enhances emission monitoring capacity onboard DNV-classed vessels.
Effective from July 2025
The Type Approval Certificate was issued on 30 July 2025 and is valid until 29 July 2030. This ensures long-term confidence in the multiplexer’s performance and compliance for maritime and offshore installations.
"This approval confirms the robustness and scalability of our emission monitoring solutions. The Sample Stream Multiplexer gives our customers the ability to expand monitoring capacity while ensuring compliance with international requirements"
— Tor Erik Sannum, President & CEO at Norsk Analyse.
